Description: Bocas Water Sports is Bocas del Toro's premiere dive shop. It has been in business since 1990, (the longest running dive shop in Bocas) and certified thousands of divers. We are a PADI Gold Palm Resort, offering the highest level of service and meeting strict standards for safety.

Bocas Water Sports is committed to promoting sustainable tourism. We hire and train local captains, guides, divemasters and instructors as our way of giving back to our community. We also staunchly protect our marine environment, participating in reef cleanups, educational programs, the Smithsonian Institutions mooring buoy initiative, as well as being a founding member of the Geotourism Alliance.

We offer daily two tank dive trips, diving tours throughout the Bocas del Toro archipelago, kayak rentals, and a full line of PADI certification courses. To promote your comfort, our all day tours include beach towels, bottled water, ice chest with ice, and top of the line snorkel/dive gear. Our trips visit Dolphin Bay, Crawl Cay, Red Frog Beach, and Hospital Point. Other trips available visit Swan Cay (Bird Island), Bocas del Drago, Starfish Beach and the Zapatilla Cays. There is no better place than Bocas Water Sports to explore the islands and bays that make Bocas so
beautiful. The owners, Jon and Stacy are enthusiastic and welcoming--the staff is friendly and
helpful. We enjoyed the BWS activities so much that we took part in a different sport--scuba,
snorkel, and kayak--each day of our Bocas visit. The beauty of Bocas is something you need to
experience first-hand. So let BWS guide you: get wet and get set to be amazed. As Mark Twain said,
"An ecstasy is a thing that will not go into words; it feels like music, and one cannot tell about
music so that another person can get the feeling of it."

BWS provides the best underwater adventure you can experiance in Bocas. The staff was friendly and
experienced, offering a truly amazing dive enviornment. I would hope that all who visit Bocas have

BWS is amazing! The first time I ever went diving was on their Discover
Scuba Diving Course… what a thrill! The instructors, staff, and owners were truly enthusiastic
about their work, friendly, and professional. Not only did I feel completely comfortable and safe,
but the diving trip run by BWS was my favorite part of my trip to Bocas. I highly recommend you
stop by!

The first time I ever tried scuba diving was when I went on the Dolphin Tour and took the Discover
Scuba Diving Course with Bocas Water Sports. I loved it so much, I was back the next day diving
again! The Dolphin Tour is a great way to spend the day and I recommend it to anyone who has a
short or long stay in Bocas.

Irving, Hector, Leandra, Modesto, Freddy, and Chris are very thorough and professional in their
instruction and captaining, while still managing to have a good laugh and enjoy the day. Jon and
Stacy are wonderful people and I thoroughly enjoyed the experiences they were able to provide me
through their dive shop.

I can't wait to go back next year and be certified as an Open Water Diver!

I highly encourage anyone who wants to have a great diving experience to give Bocas Water Sports a
chance to earn your business. My wife and I thought it would be great to get our two oldest
daughters certified (14yrs and 11yrs). Finding the appropriate people to trust with your most
prized possessions is not easy. So we took the time to talk with the owners of BWS to make sure it
would be a safe but inspiring experience for our daughters. Jon and Stacy (the owners) assigned
Irving to be their dive master and he was absolutely fantastic. In no time, whatsoever, he overcame
our concerns and had our daughters diving like experienced veterans.
As a family, we spent a full week with the staff at Bocas Water Sports and could not have asked for
a better experience. The dive sites were beautiful; the staff was friendly but professional; and
the town of Bocas del Toro provided the perfect backdrop.

Strong recommendation for BWS!! The owners are super friendly and accomodating, and the staff really
made the whole day trip amazing. You definitely won't find a better deal for your money anywhere
else on the island!

BWS is great! Great staff, great service and great (and cheap!) t-shirts! I´ve had the pleasure of
diving with them a number of times and really appreciate the high quality of customer service and
also their new dive gear. It´s always a good time going out for an adventure on one of their
boats. Keep up the good work!

My daughter and I had a wonderful time diving with BWS. I got my PADI certification a few years ago
but had not been diving since. I was able to refresh my skills with the BWS instructors and had some
awesome dives. Meanwhile my 16 year old daughter received her PADI certification training with BWS
and loved it. Jon is so knowledgable about everything involving the sea and Stacy, we came to find
out was a registered nurse in her former profession. What a perfect team to run a dive operation.
The instructors were very friendly and competent. I can not recommend BWS enough!

I have been going to Bocas for years. I always dive with BWS. They have awesome dive instructors and
staff. Jon and Stacy provide great customer service and I recommend them to anyone who wants to dive
in Bocas.

I've been to Bocas twice and each time BWS has provided excellent customer service. The staff is
knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. BWS provides new dive equipment; an on-site “confined
water” area for PADI certification classes, and reliable boats will get you to a dozen pristine
dive sites quickly. BWS runs an ultra-safe operation and reasonable prices for all your diving
needs.

AWESOME!

That is the type of experience that Jon, Stacey and the staff at BWS provide for every guest. Not
only do we prefer to dive here, we regularly refer friends and relatives for dives, snorkel tours
and kayak rentals.
They are the only operation I know of that provides, water, towels and swim fins on there tours.
BWS is the oldest established PADI dive shop in Bocas Del Toro and their commitment to the
community, environment and guest keep them number one.
