Having just recently finished a volunteer/internship with SBT I can highly recommend the
organization to anyone that has interest in environmental conservation or is interested in working
with an non profit in Panama. Since the organization has projects in several areas, there are
several different areas that one can get involved in. Through my experience I developed long
lasting connections with people and this internship has helped me to focus my course of study at my
University. Much of my volunteer time was spent learning about the current aquaculture projects in
Panama as well as helping install a water filtration system in an indigenous community. I met some
really great people working with SBT and I can honestly say it was a wonderful experience.
